Nightwatch (2004)
This is what happens when the Matrix hits Russia I guess. Its a Modern Vampire fantasy, the editting is fucking ridiculous. Way way over the top. It single handedly raises the bar for subtitles as a plot device. just great.
Okay, so our protagonist hires a witch to get his girlfriend back, however he is unknowingly just bait for some Vampire/evil so that some Ghostbuster types can arrest the witch. But when they show up he can see them, which means he has crossed over and is an “Other”: one of these superpowerful humans. Not all of the Others are vampires, some are shapeshifters, can see the future. Whatever.
Its Light versus Dark time. Lots of violence and humor. Recommended for Evil Dead and Underworld fans. Also it’s worth noting that its part one of a trilogy still coming. Sweet.
